All orders are processed in Napa, CA and title transfers to buyer in Napa, CA. During the winter and summer months, weather conditions and longer delivery times can often result in the spoilage of your order. Therefore at our discretion orders may be held in our cellar until weather conditions are deemed favorable. Please note that at the time you authorize Pilcrow Wines to release your order to the third-party shipping company, the wine becomes your responsibility. Pilcrow Wines is not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment.
All wines are sold in Napa County, California and title passes to the buyer in Napa County, California. Pilcrow Wines makes no representations as to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import wines into any state outside of California. The buyer is solely responsible for shipment of wines. By placing an order, you are authorizing Pilcrow Wines to share any details you provide about billing and shipping addresses to a third-party shipping company that may act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver the items in your order.
Due to changing direct-shipping laws and regulations, Pilcrow Wines cannot be held responsible for advising you of your rights to import wine into your state prior to you placing your order. Pilcrow Wines will, as a courtesy, coordinate shipping details with a third-party shipping company on behalf of the buyer, as specified by the buyer, provided that Pilcrow Wines in its sole discretion believes that aiding in such will not subject Pilcrow Wines to the risk of any sort of legal action or other harm. Please contact Pilcrow Wines at sara@pilcrow-wine.com with any questions or concerns you may have regarding our shipping policies.
Pilcrow Wines will notify you by email when your wines are ready to be released to the third-party shipping company. Generally, we will attempt to do so shortly after your order is placed. However, please be aware that your order may be delayed for long periods of time until ideal weather and shipping conditions arise to protect your wines. You will be given the opportunity to coordinate the proper shipping address at that time.
